BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS

2016 was an amazing year for Britain's Got Talent auditions and provided potentially the most strongest Finals for a decade. We countdown our favorite 10.

BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS

10 - FLYING BEBOP (BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS)
Had you ever seen dancing below flying drones before? Well Nadia and David came up with the concept and it weirdly works. It was an amazing watch, although the music was a poor choice and I am unsure if they can improve the act going forwards.

09 - RUBY MURRY (BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS)
Incredibly failed to make the Semi-Finals. 34 year old Ruby (Tom) was amazing. The opera singing was on point and stunned both the audition and judges alike. It was definitely not the best Nessun Dorma ever on BGT, but surely the singer was deserving of a Live Shows spot?

08 - BEAU DERMOTT (BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS)
Not every audition member would have known about Defiying Gravel from Wicked before the audition. They did after Beau's beautiful audition. Her perfect vocal routine was enough to get the Golden Buzzer from Amanda.

07 - SHANNON AND PETER (BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS)
Love always wins in the end! A couple who met through dancing, had kids and moved countries to be with each other showed their love on the BGT stage. Wings from Birdy played out as the two provided a ballet performance to remember. Just to complete the beautiful audition, their ten year old boy ran from the arena crowd to jump onto the stage. Lovely!

06 - KATHLEEN JENKINS (BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS)
Did you ever expect a cleaner to sing THAT good? Kathleen was nervous but shined like a star when she performed. I've heard Wild Horses sung by Susan Boyle in the past, and honestly I think this audition was a better version! With her Dad watching on with joy, she delivered an amazing vocal display. She always hoped to get onto Live TV, Jenkins is now living that very dream.

05 - DARREN ALTMAN (BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS)
Every fame-hopeful take note, do something unique which nobody from your category has attempted before. So for Darren, it was impressions such as David Attenborough, Jeremy Clarkson and Boris Johnson. I have seen some decent acts in the past, Danny Potshill, Paul Burling, Jon Clegg and Les Gibson.. I'd rate Darren above them all.

04 - SAM AND HECTOR (BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS)
Gymnastic partners Hector (12) and Sam (14) wowed the judges with a stunning audition. I generally don't care for this type of thing, but the song choice was brilliant and the moves were incredible (close to Spellbound, they are that good!) The duo achieved a standing ovation too!

03 - RICHARD JONES (BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS)
After Jamie Raven (who we recently interviewed) came Second in BGT 2015. Soldier Richard added fantastic tricks to this year's edition. I honestly think he could become the first magician to win BGT. How did he know it was David Beckham (even the cutting was impressive) and turning Fanta into Tea was mind boggling yet utterly superb!

02 - JACK HIGGINGS (BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS)
How this boy from Liverpool did not get a Golden Buzzer is beyond me! How does a funny Boogie Storm (talented but not brilliant) manage to get Simon Cowell's approval but not the superb Jack? His song choice, Say Something, was perfect and the dancing was powerful yet very emotional. He then revealed he has been bullied for dancing as a kid and it was like a Billy Elliot being born!

01 - JASMINE ELCOCK (BGT 2016 BEST AUDITIONS)
A smiling Jasmine was the belated reciever of Ant and Dec's golden buzzer. She did a renedition of Believe by Cher, with it being one of my favourite cover's of the song to date. Her lovely voice had everybody smiling - while Alesha and Ant looked on in tears! Even the Buzzer provided a lovely moment, as Jasmine jumped for joy, her Mum celebrated in the crowd and Amanda expressed her happiness. Superb all round.
