We will see the return of The Crown in December, after Season 2's fiery trailer was dropped by Netflix.

It shows a Queen which is feeling the pressure, and seems to be very alone. Season 2 will tackle the rumors of Prince Philip's adultery, with Elizabeth seemingly glaring at a dancer. This dancer could be Pat Kirkwood, who was rumored (and who denied) to be having an affair with Philip.

The trailer also shows us glimpses of new characters such as Lord Snowdon, John F Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy. The queen also resorts, "I have been Queen barely ten years, and in that time I’ve had three Prime Ministers. Not one has lasted the course." This relates to the reigns of Winston Churchill, Anthony Eden and Harold MacMillan.

The Crown stars Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Vanessa Kirby

- Confirmed to be airing on Netflix, 8 December 2017.
