Hard Sun (BBC One) Series begins on Saturday 6 January

Detectives stumble upon proof that the world faces certain destruction, in just five years time! The terrifying reality is what the British government is urgently trying to keep secret. The duo are quickly found and followed by Security Service operatives, who are intent on killing them to stop the world finding out.

When the dossier is made public, it attracts chaos as murderers, rapists and serial killers appear. It is up to our detectives to take them down, but what does justice really mean - when an apocalypse nears?

Kiri (Channel 4) Series begins on Wednesday 10 January

An experienced social worker arranges for a young black girl (Kiri), to have an unsupervised visit with her biological grandparents. Kiri disappears during the visit and suspicion quickly surrounds.

Kiri's biological grandfather finds both his race and weird relationship with his son put under the microscope. Meanwhile Kiri's adopted-family begin to crumble under the pressure and personal grief.

Serial Drama starring Sarah Lancashire, Lucian Msamati, Lia Williams


Six (5Spike) - Series begins on Tuesday 16 January

Navy SEAL Team Six's aim to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes wrong after uncovering a US citizen working with the terrorists.

The series is inspired by real missions. You will see what SEALS do in their personal lives, how they fight in combat and important decisions they have to make to serve their country.

Team Drama starring Walton Goggins, Barry Sloane, Kyle Schmid

Britannia (Sky Atlantic) Series begins on Thursday 18 January

Britain's leaders have to put their differences aside to try and stop an invasion in 43AD. Druids and Tribes will unite to fight and try to resist the might of the incoming Roman Army.

Meanwhile The Romans are determined to succeed and conquer Britain's mythical lands. Their General is a strong and tough leader, but harbours a very deep secret which could potentially hurt their mission.
